ESH연구소 설립배경

Recent environmental management trends are characterized by a global megatrend, and climate change, as seen in Kyoto Protocol, has emerged as the most important issue leading to implementation of the policy and laws to keep the risk of endangering the environment and mankind. As a result only environment-freindly products are able to find the market, and customers are increasingly in need of various environmental information and policies.

Along with the environmental trends the environmental management paradigm is also being shifted from 'end of pipe' to 'source control', from the mediums of pollution such as the atmosphere, water and waste to the receptor such as men, ecology and products.

In light of the recent global trends of reinforced environment regulation and the strengthened demand for corporate social responsibility SK Hynix has established ESH Research Center to further investigate such trends and develop comprehensive proactive measures through the technology development and companywide promotion of ESH service and quality improvement. The ESH Research Center continues to engage in research activities finding ways to raise overall competitiveness, to produce clean products and to create clean working environment.

Misson

Responding proactively to the ESH regulation imposed at home and abroad to secure the world's best ESH technologies and to construct the optimum infrastructure using a quantified index, and contributing to sustainable management.
