| Hynix is diversifying its NAND flash product line by offering application specific board level products such as Micro SD. Hynix is currently sampling 2, 4 and 8GB Micro SD, with the16GB scheduled for sampling in Sep ¡¯09. Micro SD products are based on NAND components fabricated on Hynix¡¯s 41nm process technology. The Micro SDs feature write & read performance of 15MB/s and 20MB/s respectively, a significant improvement over the previous generation product. |

Secure Digital (SD) cards are ubiquitous in consumer electronic devices, and became the dominant means of storing several gigabytes of data in a very small form factor package. Hynix believes that the Micro SD card, which is a quarter of the size of an SD card, will be the most prevalently used card form factor in consumer electronics through 2010. Micro SD share in the total flash card market is expected to exceed 50% in 2009. This trend is already being proven in the mobile handset segment, where the demand for high density small form factor cards for multimedia file storage, is very strong.

| The market research firm, iSuppli predicts that shipments of mobile handset with Micro SD cards will grow from 90.5% in 2009 to 91.7% in 2012, while demand for high density 8GB cards will grow an average of 2.6 times per year over the same period. By 2010, the 8GB memory card will be the market mainstream in terms of units sold.
