Release of 32nm based High Speed SLC NAND
Product Information
Hynix Semiconductor has introduced high speed SLC NAND Flash based on 32nm process technology, and is now validating the product at major HDD/SSD makers. The product will find use in SSDs for enterprise servers & Hybrid HDDs, which are new markets expected to drive NAND Flash demand. These high-end storage products require fast random Read/Write performance for which the high speed SLC NAND Flash are most suitable.

The device includes a synchronous interface for high-performance I/O operations. It contains 4096 blocks divided into 2 planes consisting of 2048 blocks each. Each block is further divided into 128 pages. A highly multiplexed 8-bit bus provides Read/Writes of up to 166MT/s.

The product is available in the FBGA-100(12mmx18mm) package, and fully compliant with the ONFI (Open NAND Flash Interface) 2.1 specification.
