Hynix has joined ¡°Carbon Management Global Leaders Club¡± as the best group of carbon management awarded by *CDP Korea committee 2010.
The CDP is a climate change initiative and an independent not-for-profit organization, collecting corporate information on a range of significant climate change issues, including governance, carbon management strategies, risks and opportunities, Green House Gas emissions, communications, etc..
Hynix has been actively participated in the CDP since 2007 and has a high score in all categories of CDP in 2010, joined in the ¡®Band A¡¯ of leading group of **CPLI among two hundred of largest domestic companies in terms of market capitalization.
As part of leading the effort for a low-carbon company, Hynix adopted the CDP supply chain program for the first time in Korea in order to broaden the scope of our Carbon Partnership program, which was designed to help our suppliers build a carbon management system across their company. ¡Ø About CPLI (Carbon Performance Leadership Index)
In 2010 the performance scoring process was rolled out to cover more CDP samples - groups of companies based on market capitalization. Within these samples, all companies with a sufficient level of disclosure in their response received a performance score. The qualifying threshold to receive a carbon performance score was a minimum Carbon Disclosure Score of 50.
