Since 2010, Hynix has worked with the government on the project to build a low-carbon management systems for suppliers. This project is a collaborative win-win program designed for Hynix and its suppliers to better address the impact of climate change by 2012.

In 2010,10 domestic suppliers participated in this program and were involved in activities of establishing low-carbon management systems & strategies, calculating the Carbon Footprint of a process and a product, developing Green House Gas (GHG) monitoring systems and measuring GHG inventory.

This program was a meaningful first step to share the experience of responding to climate change and provide suppliers with opportunities for reduction in CO2 emissions.

In 2011, Hynix has started working with more than 11 suppliers in identifying possible areas for CO2 reductions and developing an integrated guideline for Hynix¡¯s green procurement.

Hynix will continuously collaborate with suppliers in developing win-win programs to strengthen low-carbon management systems.
