Hynix has developed a series of CMOS Image Sensors (CIS) with resolutions ranging from VGA(Video Graphics Array, 0.3M Pixels) to 5Mpixels, with MIPI (Mobile Industry Processor Interface).
MIPI is an industry standard high speed serial interface, widely adopted by chipset manufacturers for its simplicity and performance advantages. End use applications such as Mobile Phones prefer to use MIPI components rather than those with Parallel Interface.

Hynix now has a complete product line up of CMOS Image Sensors with QVGA(Quarter VGA) to 5Mpixel resolutions.
MIPI is preferred in high resolution CIS such as 3M and 5M to support the higher pixel rates. However, Hynix also offers MIPI on lower resolution CIS for video telephony which uses a sub-camera located at the front side of the mobile phone.

Hynix CIS product portfolio is consistent with industry demand for high speed serial interfaces in the rapidly growing mobile phone market, and will ensure Hynix¡¯s place as a leading CIS supplier.
