Hynix Semiconductor has become a member of DJSI World, Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes World, for two consecutive years recognizing the company as a ¡°Long-Lasting, Great Company¡± to the world.

This year the company becomes not only a member of DJSI World and DJSI Asia Pacific but also DJSI Korea for the first time. Hynix¡¯s inclusion in three DJSI indexes implies that the company¡¯s sustainability of overall administrative management and risk management become very close to the level of a global standard. The company expects that the inclusion helps appeal to SRI, Socially Responsible Investing, investors and contribute to enhancing corporate credibility.

The Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) covers the top 10% of the biggest 2,500 companies in the Dow Jones Global Total Stock Market Index in terms of economic, environmental and social criteria. The underlying research methodology accounts for general as well as industry-specific sustainability trends and evaluates corporations based on a variety of criteria including climate change strategies, energy consumption, human resources development, knowledge management, stakeholder relations and corporate governance.
