Hynix will start ramping production of monolithic 64Gb MLC NAND Flash on its next generation 2ynm class process technology later this year.

With 2ynm class 64Gb, Hynix expects to offer highly integrated and high density NAND Flash solutions such as eMMC, E2NAND, and SSDs used in emerging end-use applications such as the 4th generation smart-phone, Media tablets, Notebooks and UltraBooks, and enterprise servers.

Transitions to next generation NAND Flash process technology is increasingly challenging. Process complications will only become more severe beyond 20nm geometries. Hynix will continue to push the boundaries of process technologies to maintain our leadership position and continue to offer our customers high performance, high density NAND Flash solutions at affordable costs.
